Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute was the 49-31 winner over the Westwood Rebels when they previously met last month. On Tuesday? They had no such luck. MVAO was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Westwood. MVAO can't seem to catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.
MVAO's loss pushed them down to 3-11. Westwood's win brought them up to 5-15.
MVAO will take on West Monona on Tuesday. The MaxPreps rankings favor MVAO, but they won't be able to rely on this superior ranking alone to carry them to victory. As for the Rebels, they will go up against Ridge View on Friday. Ridge View is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 51-50 victory over Woodbury Central on Tuesday.
