The Fullerton Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 69-9 victory over St. Edward. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Fullerton with their most commanding win of the season.
Fullerton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paige Horn led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Norman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Edward struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fullerton racked up 17 assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Fullerton and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for St. Edward, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-20.
Fullerton will be playing in front of their home fans against Central City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central City is coming into the matchup with five straight victories on the road, meaning Fullerton will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for St. Edward, they will take on Twin River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last 12 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
