Baseball Recap: Berkley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Farmington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berkley). They blew past the Farmington Falcons 22-10 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Spencer Bajcz, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Alex Kraus also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Berkley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matches.

Berkley's record is now 5-10. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Coming up, Berkley will take on Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Farmington will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' contest: after the Bears face off against the Red Hawks, they'll take on Farmington again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
