The Amanda-Clearcreek Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Southeastern an easy 58-33 win. Amanda-Clearcreek was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southeastern apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Lane Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds for Southeastern. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Carter Fisher was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Amanda-Clearcreek bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southeastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amanda-Clearcreek will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Buckeye Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Southeastern will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Wellston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
