The Meade Mustangs lost against the Glen Burnie Gophers back in October, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Meade might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 28-27 to Glen Burnie, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Meade has struggled against Glen Burnie recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Meade lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brian Jamison. Despite the final result, he threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Tyrique Jones was in the mix as well, providing Meade with two touchdowns.
Meade has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Glen Burnie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glen Burnie will square off against Old Mill at TBD on Friday. Old Mill will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
