The Brook Hill Guard will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Covenant Knights at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brook Hill has seven straight wins, the Knights have 25 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Brook Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Dallas Christian out 49-46.
Brook Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savannah Onley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Lila Morris was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Covenant was beaten by the Chargers 59-7 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Covenant has scored all season.
Brook Hill is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for Covenant, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Brook Hill against the Knights in their previous meeting last Thursday as the squad secured a 61-15 win. With Brook Hill ahead 43-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
