The Alief Taylor Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 34-7 loss at the hands of Shadow Creek. Alief Taylor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Logan Gray threw for 70 yards on seven of 20 attempts. Brandon Barrera was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Jaxson Adeoye rushed for 54 yards.
Cobey Sellers was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Alief Taylor has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Shadow Creek, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Alief Taylor will look to defend their home field on Friday against Alief Elsik at 7:00 p.m. As for Shadow Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Strake Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Strake Jesuit will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Shadow Creek is ranked 64th).
