Hi-Plains recap Nov. 7, 2012
Meade extended the longest winning streak in Hi-Plains this week by beating Decatur Community, 47-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Buffaloes.
Meade led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on the Red Devils. Chris Hardaway threw for 94 yards and one touchdown and ran for 155 yards in the win.
Cimarron's dynamic duo of AJ Cooper and Josh Meis proved tough for Scott to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cooper threw for 169 yards and one touchdown and Meis had 94 yards receiving. Alex Neuschafer helped Cimarron's passing attack out by catching six balls for 61 yards.
Elkhart's Alex Gomez and Jordan Forbit have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gomez has thrown for 2048 yards this season, while Forbit, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 40 catches for 760 yards. Ty Clark from the Bluejays leads the league in rushing with 1312 yards.
In 121 carries Gage McAtee has accumulated 925 yard this year.
