Baseball Recap: Brookfield East Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Brookfield East had won three straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 9-3 to make it four. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the West Allis Hale Huskies. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

As for West Allis Hale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games.

For West Allis Hale's part, Blake Etzel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The Huskies are 2-1 when Etzel posts three or more RBI, but 3-8 otherwise. Andrew Hoppe was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Brookfield East will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Allis Hale: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
