The Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders are taking a road trip to challenge the Dunedin Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Clearwater Central Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hollins, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Marauders were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Royals on Thursday. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Madison Whelan spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alexis Rosado and Bethanny Ortiz did most of the damage at the plate: Rosado scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Ortiz scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Ortiz posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Emma Carollo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Clearwater Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Dunedin got the win against Countryside on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3.
The team relied heavily on Maelaea Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Millican, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Dunedin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.
Both Clearwater Central Catholic and Dunedin just can't seem to miss. The Marauders have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Dunedin struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clearwater Central Catholic skirted past Dunedin 5-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
