The Newfane Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past Emerson Vo-Tech, posting a 57-22 win at home. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Newfane has scored all season.
Newfane was led to victory by Ben Dickinson and Brayden Seitz. Dickinson scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Seitz scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The game was Dickinson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Landon Braman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Newfane's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Emerson Vo-Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Newfane will head out on the road to face off against Albion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Emerson Vo-Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buffalo Academy of Science at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
