James chose the Trojans over finalists Ohio State and Oregon, deciding to play alongside the top recruit in the Class of 2023 Isaiah Collier next season under head coach Andy Enfield.
James has had the spotlight shining brightly on him
from his first game in a Sierra Canyon uniform. Fans have over-packed
high school basketball gyms and filled NBA arenas to see him play. The
program even took a preseason tour to England, France and Italy. The son
of LeBron James was one of the most prominent newsmakers ever at the
prep level.
Bronny carved his own path
throughout his high school basketball career, playing varsity against a
brutal national schedule each season and showing progress and
development in each of his four seasons of high school basketball.

As a freshman, he played 15 minutes per contest and averaged four points per game while appearing in all 34 games on an experienced group that went 30-4 en route to the CIF Open Division state title game before their season ended abruptly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a sophomore, James missed the majority of the season after tearing his meniscus and undergoing surgery prior to the start of the campaign.
During his junior season, he upped his averages 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals per outing across 29 games for the Trailblazers who finished the season 26-5.
As a
senior, he averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7
steals per contest across 27 games to help Sierra Canyon reach the CIF Division I state semifinals with a record of 23-11 on the year. He earned invitations to the McDonald's All-American Game and
Nike Hoop Summit.
James shined bright in both All-America showcase games. He tallied 15 points and four assists on 5-of-8 from 3-point range in nearly 20 minutes for the West in a 109-106 loss in the McDonald's All-American Game and contributed 11 points and four rebounds in just over 21 minutes of action in a 90-84 victory for Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit.
Although it appeared Sierra
Canyon was poised to capture a state championship in 2019-20 before the
pandemic hit, the Trailblazers were unable to capture a title during
Bronny's career despite compiling a record of 95-22 over his four years with the program.
The
6-foot-3 guard is regarded as the No. 26 overall prospect and the No. 6 combo-guard in the Class of 2023
according to 247Sports.
Eligible to
enter the 2024 NBA Draft after one year of college hoops, Bronny is projected to be selected with the No. 10 pick in the NBA Draft according to a Mock Draft from Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
