The Bossier Bearkats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huntington Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bossier has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Huntington will arrive with nine straight victories.
Last Friday, Bossier had to suffer through a rough 64-30 loss at the hands of North DeSoto.
Meanwhile, Huntington can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Evangel Christian Academy 117-42 at home. Huntington's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Carley Hamilton, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games she's played. ZaNyah Lefear was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists and four steals.
Bossier has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Huntington, they pushed their record up to 26-5 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
Bossier was taken down by Huntington 78-12 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bossier was down 44-4.
