The Norview Pilots will take on the Arcadia Firebirds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Norview needed a bit of extra time to put away Salem. They blew past the Sundevils 17-10.

Jamil Moreta was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Norview is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Moreta was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malaki Littlejohn, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Norview: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Leigh, who went 3-for-6 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Norview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Arcadia and Salisbury Christian, and Arcadia kept the tradition alive. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Salisbury Christian on Tuesday. The Firebirds have beaten Salisbury Christian the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Salisbury Christian has come to flipping the script.
Norview pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
