As a matter of fact, Pahokee put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They came up short against Leonard, falling 27-17. Even if the Blue Devils couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Meanwhile, Moore Haven waltzed into their game last Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Stingrays as they made off with a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Terriers, who have now won three matchups by 15 runs or more so far this season.
Camryn Prowant made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Sergent was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Khloe Desroche was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Moore Haven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Pahokee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Moore Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
