3A District 5 recap November 13, 2013
Metro Christian added to the longest winning streak in 3A District 5 this week by beating Berryhill, 54-20. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Patriots.
Metro Christian was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Chiefs. Jared Mccoy's team came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Jared Fink was a beast in the backfield as Dewey fell to Sequoyah.
Fink was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldoggers lost to the Eagles. Fink's favorite target this week was Trenton Keene, who caught 2 passes for 24 yards.
TY WALKER put up the best numbers through the air as Berryhill fell to the Patriots. He finished with 7 completions for 130 yards and 1 touchdown. WALKER's favorite target this week was Jeremy Smith, who caught 2 passes for 57 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Keene. The Dewey star has 21 catches for 398 yards.
Pat Harper's team's CHAD DILLARD needs only 75 yards against Inola next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. DILLARD has rushed for 925 yards on 130 carries so far this year.
Metro Christian took down the Chiefs 54-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
