On Friday Lone Jack/Kingsville take on Sweet Springs/Malta Bend at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Lone Jack/Kingsville now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Last Friday, Lone Jack/Kingsville came up short against Concordia, falling 21-28.
Meanwhile, Sweet Springs/Malta Bend were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Crest Ridge. Sweet Springs/Malta Bend found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-27 punch to the gut against Crest Ridge. The contest was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but Sweet Springs/Malta Bend were outplayed the rest of the way.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
