Meanwhile, Coginchaug Regional entered their tilt with Hale Ray on Wednesday with 12 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 13. They came out on top against the Noises by a score of  52-41.
 Portland better keep an eye on  Sophie Farr. She was instrumental in Coginchaug Regional's win,  going 11 for 23  en route to 25  points in addition to eight  boards and four  steals. Farr is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least two every time she's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddy Benbow, who  earned nine points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Coginchaug Regional's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Portland took a serious blow against Coginchaug Regional  when the teams last played  back in December of 2024, falling  76-35. That  contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Portland was down  42-18.
