After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centreville, South Lakes was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Oakton Cougars 3-2. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

South Lakes' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-8. As for Oakton, they dropped their record down to 11-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Oakton will take on Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Lakes will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' game: after the Cougars face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on South Lakes again at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
