The Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs entered their tilt with the Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Summerfield Waldorf walked away with a 54-41 win over the Spartans on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Summerfield Waldorf, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Rio Lindo Adventist still got an impressive performance from Jhordany Barcenas, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter McNunn, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Summerfield Waldorf pushed their record up to 8-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
Summerfield Waldorf will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Lindo Adventist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
