It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Centerville Tigers can now relate to. They took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Honey Grove. Centerville's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Honey Grove found their leader in underclassman Ryelan Morris, who rushed for 244 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.
Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Honey Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-1.
Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Honey Grove will face off against Timpson at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timpson's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
