Despite the loss, Gibsland-Coleman still got an impressive performance from   Samora Sampson, who  dropped  a double-double with 26 points and ten  rebounds. That was a full 44.8% of Gibsland-Coleman's points, marking the eighth time in a row  Sampson has  posted  more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  DonShayla Rushing, who  put up 14  points.
 Even though they lost, Gibsland-Coleman  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive boards in nine consecutive  matches.
Gibsland-Coleman's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-10. As for Summerfield, they pushed their record up to 24-8 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Gibsland-Coleman will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Starks at 5:30  p.m.  on February 24th. Summerfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
