Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

After losing to Hartford Central the last time they met, Warrensburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warrensburg Burgers came out on top against the Hartford Central Tanagers by a score of 54-46 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Burgers.

Hartford Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Nadeau, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Nadeau has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Audrey Fiske, who had eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.

Warrensburg pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Hartford Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Warrensburg will head out to face off against Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warrensburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hartford Central, they will welcome Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
