The Roane County Raiders pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-60 to South Harrison. Roane County has struggled against South Harrison recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Roane County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shaun Caldwell, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Odle, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Roane County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for South Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roane County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wirt County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Hopefully Wirt County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Friday. As for South Harrison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
