The Hull Pirates fell victim to the Carver Crusaders''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 45-0 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. While losing is never fun, Hull can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Carver is ranked 75th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carver to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pat Attaya, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Robert Peterson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hull are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.0 points per game. As for Carver, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Hull will be playing in front of their home fans against Tech Boston Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tech Boston Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Carver, they will head out on the road to face off against Mashpee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
