Northfield found their leader in underclassman Madison Bethel, who scored 11 points along with eight steals. Bethel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Faith Nelson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Hinkley bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road. As for Northfield, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Hinkley will head out on the road to challenge Rangeview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rangeview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hinkley in Colorado (Rangeview is ranked 114th, while Hinkley is ranked 317th). As for Northfield, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Denver West at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Denver West's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Northfield's offense will have their work cut out for them.
