David Posnack Jewish Day's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Klein, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals, and Eden Ezra who scored 5 points along with 5 steals. Klein is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Azafrani, who scored 9 points.
LaSalle found their leader in underclassman Alexandra Gonzalez Casar, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Gonzalez Casar is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Candy Cruz, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
David Posnack Jewish Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for LaSalle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Posnack Jewish Day will challenge Katz Yeshiva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaSalle, they will head out on the road to face off against iMater Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
