Baseball Recap: Park Crossing Comes Up Short

Park Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Russell County Warriors, falling 21-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-9 last Tuesday.

J GREEN was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was J MCGHEE, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Park Crossing now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Russell County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10.

Coming up, Park Crossing will square off against Carver Montgomery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Park Crossing's pitchers better be ready for this one: Carver Montgomery has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Russell County, they will challenge Rehobeth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rehobeth's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Russell County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
