After three games on the road, Gering is heading back home. The Gering Bulldogs and the Sidney Red Raiders will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gering will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Sidney is ranked eighth).
Last Friday, Gering lost to Sidney on the road by a decisive 56-41 margin.
Despite the defeat, Gering got a solid performance out of Kelsey Brady, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacey Cochran, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Gering has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Sidney, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.
Things could have been worse for Gering, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Sidney in their previous meeting on Friday.
