Page has gone a perfect 6-0 against Dudley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 6:00 p.m. Page is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.9 runs per game this season.
Page will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Western Guilford last Tuesday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 25-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.
Nora Glasgo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Glasgo was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one triple.

In other batting news, Kennedy Jarusik was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla Roberson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Page always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .805. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Dudley's offense. They came up short against Ragsdale last Thursday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Dudley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Page, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Dudley's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Page has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Dudley, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Page keep running through batters, or will the Panthers buck the trend?
Everything went Page's way against Dudley when the teams last played back in March, as Page made off with a 17-0 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
