Pellston dropped their record down to 3-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 17-3 to the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals. The match marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
