Radford is 0-10 against Carroll County since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Radford Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Carroll County Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Radford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Carroll County is ranked 24th).
Last Tuesday, Radford took a serious blow against Floyd County, falling 76-23. Radford has not had much luck with Floyd County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Carroll County's strategy against James River on Monday. Carroll County blew past James River 62-38. Carroll County pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit James River had little chance of recovering from.
Radford has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Carroll County, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
Radford was taken down by Carroll County 67-28 when the teams last played back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Radford was down 39-9.
