The Tyler Legacy Raiders's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Royse City with points to spare, taking the game 75-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tyler Legacy was led to victory by Ja'corian Oes and Jayden Jones. Oes dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Jones scored 28 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The game was Jones' 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Nuckolls, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Tyler Legacy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11. As for Royse City, they bumped their record down to 10-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Tyler Legacy will take on North Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Forney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Tyler Legacy likes a good challenge. As for Royse City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. Rockwall-Heath presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Royse City in Texas (Rockwall-Heath is ranked 61st, while Royse City is ranked 414th).
