The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Pana by a score of 55-48. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 23 to 7 on the offensive boards, as Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond did.
Claire Seal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Monts, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Pana saw an underclassman step up: Joey Laker scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Casner, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. As for Pana, their loss was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-27.
