In what's become a running theme this season, the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Front Range Baptist 57-18 at home. The win was familiar territory for Addenbrooke Classical Academy who now have four in a row.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy found their leader in underclassman Lucia Rodriguez, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Trujillo, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Front Range Baptist struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Addenbrooke Classical Academy racked up 20 assists.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.33 points. As for Front Range Baptist, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Addenbrooke Classical Academy will take on Aurora West College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Aurora West College Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last 15 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Front Range Baptist, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Loveland Classical at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Loveland Classical focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 last Friday.
