Having just played yesterday, the Bradford Tornadoes will get right back to it and host the Oakleaf Knights at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bradford has three straight victories, Oakleaf has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Bradford escaped with a win against Dunnellon by the margin of a single free throw, 42-41.
Oakleaf suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Creekside on the road and fell 46-19. While losing is never fun, Oakleaf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Creekside is ranked 123rd).
Bradford's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Oakleaf, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Bradford came up short against Oakleaf in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 62-50. Will Bradford have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
