The Bay Path RVT Minutemen's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 53-39 fall against Hudson. While losing is never fun, Bay Path RVT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Hudson is ranked 110th).
Despite the loss, Bay Path RVT still got an impressive performance from Greg Downie, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Downie scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dale Nussey, who scored nine points.
Bay Path RVT's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for Hudson, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Bay Path RVT will be playing in front of their home fans against Francis Parker Charter Essential School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Francis Parker Charter Essential School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 back in December of 2023. Hudson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tyngsborough at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. One thing working in Tyngsborough's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
