Central came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 71-45 margin over the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Booker T. Washington still got an impressive performance from Marquez Daniel, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 48.9% of Booker T. Washington's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaivian Uhuru, who put up six points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. As for Booker T. Washington, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-59 victory against Auburn on the 17th. As for Booker T. Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-29 win against Montgomery Catholic on the 18th.
