The Desert Edge Scorpions's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 win over Centennial. For Desert Edge, this counts as revenge for the 28-16 loss Centennial walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Desert Edge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jitzabeth Hielo Miles , who scored 13 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hielo Miles has scored at least 25% of Desert Edge's points. Another player making a difference was Destinee Beasley, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Akasha Prpich, who scored 7 points.
The victory got Desert Edge back to even at 3-3. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Desert Edge will head out on the road to face off against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will be playing at home against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
