Poteet never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Spruce Timberwolves. Considering the Pirates have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Poteet has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Spruce's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Poteet will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spruce: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
