DuVal is 8-2 against Bladensburg since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The DuVal Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Bladensburg Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in DuVal's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
DuVal put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 92-48 win over High Point on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-28.
Meanwhile, Bladensburg came up short against Northwestern on Thursday and fell 55-48. Bladensburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
DuVal's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Bladensburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
DuVal was able to grind out a solid win over Bladensburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 47-40. Will DuVal repeat their success, or does Bladensburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
