La Puente relied on the efforts of Aaron Silva, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and Ezekeil Zamora, who threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns. 105 of those passing yards were hauled in by Junior Preyer, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, The Webb Schools lost 26-6 to Whittier Christian on Saturday.
The Webb Schools' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaden Mozia, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, and Alec Kaushal, who picked up 147 receiving yards. Kaushal was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 59 yards.
