Jose Torres turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Friday. He struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Archbishop McCarthy is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 0-4 otherwise.
