The Excel Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Coleville by a score of 57-47. The win was some much needed relief for Excel Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Excel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mark Doerfler, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Calderas, who scored 13 points.
The victory got Excel Christian back to even at 9-9. As for Coleville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Excel Christian will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coleville, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Serpents at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Mineral County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 813 points over their last 12 matches.
