Mekhi Wade Delivers Best Performance of Season
Lincoln County was led to victory by Mekhi Wade, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wade rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 166 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023.
The win for Lincoln County keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Wade and Lincoln County will challenge Lake Oconee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jonathan Norman was instrumental in extending Lincoln County's winning streak to six on Friday. Washington-Wilkes had no answer to Norman as he picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown. Norman was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 66 yards.
