The Hardee Wildcats just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Fort Meade Miners at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hardee has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Fort Meade will arrive with three straight victories.
On Thursday, Hardee ended up a good deal behind Manatee and lost 50-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hardee in their matchups with Manatee: they've now lost five in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Danaelle Pierre, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Tylia Graham was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Fort Meade scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Frostproof for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-17 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fort Meade has posted yet this season.
Hardee has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Fort Meade, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Hardee couldn't quite finish off Fort Meade in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 and fell 25-23. Can Hardee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
