The Skyline Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over East. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Skyline as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Skyline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cami Groberg led the charge by scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Leelu Bare, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for East, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. East will head out to face Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Skyline will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
