Pinecrest Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over Georgia Force Christian. That looming 71-64 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pinecrest Academy yet this season.
It was another big night for Joe Frain, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 19 rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Matthew Heaney was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Meanwhile, Fellowship Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Fulton Science Academy on Saturday as Fellowship Christian made off with a 76-51 win. The victory was just what Fellowship Christian needed coming off of a 82-44 loss in their prior contest.
The win got Pinecrest Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Fellowship Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.
Pinecrest Academy beat Fellowship Christian 51-41 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Will Pinecrest Academy repeat their success, or does Fellowship Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
