The Brandon Bulldogs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the D'Iberville Warriors at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Brandon is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Brandon was beaten by Madison Central 62-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brandon has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Brandon got a solid performance out of Kori Taylor, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Brandon struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, D'Iberville came up short against Moss Point on Thursday and fell 41-28. D'Iberville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brandon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for D'Iberville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Brandon beat D'Iberville 49-39 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Brandon have another victory up their sleeve, or will D'Iberville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
