The Elkhorn Antlers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 64-59 W over Elkhorn North. Given Elkhorn's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Elkhorn North is ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colin Comstock was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Howard, who scored 11 points.
Elkhorn's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Elkhorn North, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Elkhorn won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Norris at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Norris knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Elkhorn likes a good challenge.
